Waldo's story:
He came to us in February 2015 from a rescue in Upstate NY. They say he was raised in Georgia and when we got him he was about 5 years old and had heart worm. From the first night we got him he was a little peculiar, although we thought that was mostly from him being in a new environment and his heart worm treatments. After about a month he was cleared of heart worm and we thought, "Ok, now he'll really start acting like a dog." Up until this point Waldo spent his days laying in one of our bean bags with lots of blankets and pillows (at the time this was great, as heart worm treatments say your dog should NOT exercise until the heart worm is gone). We soon learned that this 'peculiar behavior' was just Waldo's quirky personality that we would come to love.

We had read that Waldo was a little nervous of wood floors, but we figured that with time he wouldn't mind them. Well, we were wrong. Waldo would occasionally decide that food was worth going on those frightening wood floors, but as soon as he got the treat he would remember he was on... wood floors! The only way he would return back to the safety of the rugs we placed throughout the house, was walking backwards.
